Pretty much everywhere cards. Your best bet (and this is honestly easier than you might expect) is to just get someone’s ID that looks similar to you. This is how we’ve done it for generations. People will have no trouble giving you their expired G1, or Health Card or something. Sometimes you’ll get a hassle — but you can easily explain how you’re a worry-wort and don’t want to bring ID out that you need and might lose. They’ll roll their eyes, you look tough back at them, and you’re in. The hardest time I ever had with this was in Halifax when we were trying to find an ID for a friend who was black — and even then we managed it.
