The Confederation Life Building on Richmond Street East in Toronto was built in 1892 by Knox and Elliot (pictured here soon before its opening; note the install marks still on the window glass). The 7 floor Romanesque Revival architecture office was home to insurer Confederation Life. A fire almost gutted the building in or around the 1970s, but the structure survived and was restored for new tenants.
