“This is probably the oldest thing we’ve got in service,” says Toronto Hydro’s Tom Cook, stopping beside an outdoor transformer at the utility’s station on Wiltshire Ave.
How old? Well, let’s just say that a contemporary transformer, recently taken out of service, was fondly known as T-Rex. As in dinosaur.
